Just wondering...

I am excited that I get to speak to young Mom's on How to be a Godly Mom -  As I am working on this I am wondering what a few of YOU do to BE Godly Mom's?  I know we always have to work on our relationship with God - what is it that you DO or DID when your kids were very small? =) HOW did you make time to be with God??

For those of you that have YOUNG ones at home still...  it does get easier once the kids get older!!

Even now, on the days I have the kids I can get the reading in... just not always the journaling =) AND I LOVE to journal!!

Hi Bup! So I don't really feel like I have the experience under my belt to give an expert opinion, but I have found that the only time I can truly get my reading in is first thing in the morning. I have made excuses for not being in the Word since having my babies but this year, I resolved to wake up a half hour earlier every day and that means going to bed earlier! I also make it a point to pray with my kids before each meal, as soon as they wake up in the morning, and before they go to bed so that they understand the importance of prayer. Also, I have felt that raising my kids is sort of built in accountability for me to be Godly. I want to be an example to them so that means I have to live my life in obedience to God at all times because that is what I want them to do. For example, I strive to teach them to regard others as more important than themselves, so I need to do the same because they are watching me and will do what I do! Sorry for the super long comment! Love ya!

I picked up hints from other Godly women as I was mothering...and they were so helpful. While ironing or doing laundry...pray for each family member as you are dealing with their clothes. When up in the middle of the night rocking a sick child, I had a lot of that, I used that time to sing and worship God. I put devotionals in the bathroom...the only place to have a moment of quiet. I had praise music going constantly and would worship throughout the day as I was running from room to room. I put scripture on a 3X5 card and stuck it on my dashboard and used that to memorize and meditate at the stop lights. But most of all, I learned it was a season and God was with me, he loved me, he understood, and I didn't have to perform for Him! I'm sure the women were blessed by you dear one!
