Day 1 of my trip...

I am attempting to journal... and blog my WHOLE trip =)

Day 1...
We left Crossroads on Sunday and headed to LAX. I LOVED traveling on a Sunday... NO TRAFFIC!!  =)

We arrived in Tel Aviv on Monday afternoon =) It was a fascinating drive from the airport to Ramallah... I was in AWE that we were actually IN Israel!! We checked in to our hotel - the Royal in Ramallah - then... headed to the Home of New Life.

We got to meet the boys that live there... AND a few of the men that used to be IN the home and now work to HELP the young boys there! THAT was a BLESSING to get to hear...  here are a few pix of the kids...  =)

We got there at HOMEWORK time...

The boys were really excited to show us where they lived...

THEY LOVED playing ball - that was really a blessing to watch too!!

We were able to eat with them... family style! Our FIRST of many meals with hummus =)

THEN more playing after dinner... even Nazareth took time out to PLAY =)

Then we walked the streets of Ramallah... here is the bakery...

I had FUN shooting the vegetable store =) HAHA!!

I WONDERED what this was... it was a fruit... I called it the "bumpy" fruit... It was really tasty!

That is when we saw the Stars and Bucks for the FIRST time! We didn't stop this night... we were toooooooo TIRED!!!

We headed back to the hotel... for some MUCH needed SLEEP! AND so very THANKFUL for what we saw GOD doing in Ramallah!
